Daily life: in and after holiday
Holiday's already a week over, despite of that I'm still in summer mood. Besides going on vacation with friends and those two weeks in Tunisia, I've worked a lot. I'm not sure if I already told about my summer job, but I work as life guard in a parc for holiday-makers. It isn't that spectacular, but to be honest I was a bit reluctant the last days when I had to work. So jealous of all those people who are swimming in the lake during your job, especially when it is 35 degrees. Anyways, school started last monday so that means that I already survived one week. But it's not that bad if you have a great outlook: friday I'm going to Germany with a couple of lovely classmates! We will participate in a study week with other students from Europe, they are coming from France, Slovenia, Romania, Poland and ofcourse from Germany and the Netherlands. Really looking forward to it. I also got the intention to blog more often. So many things happened the last weeks but if I don't post it immediatly I don't feel like posting it after a few days. Now back to work, lot of things have to be finished before I depart friday!

I guess I came to this point where it is enough. Just enough. Sick and tired of justifying for this whole thing again and again. Yes, we didn't run through fields of flowers, hand in hand. No music played when we kissed. I didn't let go of everything all at once and became some bright and shining example to prove all it takes is a knight with a hammer to break the glass tower. None of that. I just want to trust without thinking, the only thing I'm asking for.
Tunisia, part 3
Except for the trip(s) to Tunis we haven't done much, just lie on the beach and doing activities such as kayaking and windsurfing. And although the food was not bad, we decided to try something else the second week. We reserved a table in a private Italian restaurant, which was a really good choice. It tasted delicious! So the next days we just reserved again, Mexican, Chinese and again Italian. Because I already knew before we were going on holiday that there would be a 'food-bomb', I brought my gym shoes with me. I had to wake up really early because otherwise it would be too hot for sports, but it was not for nothing: While I was running down the beach I could see the air with its beautiful coulours.
Tunisia, part 2
After a few days we wanted to go somewhere else, a 'day-off'. We decided to go to Tunis, the capital city of Tunisia. Some people we spoke to requested us to go by train, because the connection between Tunis and Borj Cedria, where we stayed, was excellent. So we took a taxi to the station for only 2 dinnaars, which is 1 euro (!), and also 2 dinnaars p.p for the train trip. Holland can learn from these prices! I imagined that morning that it was going to be a good day, but unfortunately there were some impediments which bothered me. I noticed it right away when I got into the train, people where staring at me. Those glances continued when we were in the city, men ánd woman looked and touched me like I was a whore or something. I knew why they did that, and stupid of me that I hadn't think about it in the morning: I wore shorts and a top -just like every other tourist in a country where it is 30 degrees-, but because the population there is islamitic they don't think it's appropriate to wear clothes in which your shoulders and knees are uncovered. So the whole day I feel a bit intimidated, but it didn't stop me for taking pictures of the city.

Revenir du Isimangaliso, Tunisia!
The title of this post already said it, I'm back home. Back from this wonderland - which is 'Isimangaliso' in African- , Tunisia. Now I know what my teacher ment with "the best way to improve your language skills is by simply speaking it". Due to the decision a halfyear ago of my parents to go on holiday to this country with her french-speaking population, I had te change to discover that I barely hadn't learn a thing in french class.. But luckely, this delusion wasn't true. Now I'm not only back home with improvement of the french-skills but with more, I'm going to tell you now about the trip to le Isimangaliso!
This year our plain would take off at 11 o'clock in the morning, which means we had to wake up around 5 in the morning. I imagined that it would be a hell but hey, it's not that bad if the idea of waking up early will lead into escaping from this rainy country. I immediatly felt the warm air when we arrived in Elfida. Not like the previous years in Egypt and Turkey when it was stuffy, it was just nice. 28 degrees with pleasant wind.
