Had a good weekend. Haven't had such an amazing saturdaynight for ages.

'Een hart is net zoiets als een theekopje. Optimaal gebruiken geeft het meeste plezier, toch is er altijd het risico dat het kopje valt. Het zal zich dan in duizenden verschillende scherven verdelen. Maar dit maakt niks uit, er is optimaal gebruik van het kopje gemaakt en het enige wat nu nog rest is sparen voor een nieuw theekopje. Dit klinkt allemaal heel logisch, en dat is het ook. Maar waarom wordt deze logica niet altijd toegepast op het hart? Uit angst voor het falen wordt nooit het hele hart ingezet, slechtst een klein stukje. Je zou namelijk denken dat dat de pijn verzacht wanneer iets mislukt, als de inzet toch al niet optimaal was. Maar neem nou weer het voorbeeld van het theekopje. Slechtst een deel er van gebruiken gaat niet. En stel je voor dat je dat deel nou laat vallen, dan kan je er niet meer uit drinken. Maar de waarheid is dat je dat daarvoor ook al niet kon. Dus denk nog eens goed na, zowel bij het laten vallen van een heel kopje als een half kopje zou je moeten zorgen voor een nieuw kopje. Het verschil zit hem echter in het gebruik er van.'

Up to now I've always solved problems on my one, so I guess it won't fail this time either. You know, you must make a decision that you are going to move on. It won't happen automatically. You'll have to rise up and say, 'I don't care how hard this is, I don't care how disappointed I am, I'm not going to let this get the best of me. I'm moving on.' Sometimes it takes ages for me to rise up, but I've always been able to do it anyways. The only thing that drives me insane is that there are always people who make this so difficult. It's almost like they try to prevent you from not moving on. But I will get there, sooner or later.

Although the world is not going to fall apart, you are not going anywhere and my heart is still beating, I still feel like standing at the beginning of an endless road. I'm just wondering where you are. That's all.

Party and shoes

Yesterday night I went as a guest to a feast for the staff of the company 'VDL', and damn I had a good night. I think it was even more fun than last year. Different halls to amuse the approximately 7000 guests, delicious food and performances of several artists.

  

The afternoon before I went to the city to get a new pair of winter shoes. I got these, really warm and comfy.   It's only a pity that they are so common..

A couple of days before I got these pair of heels as a gift. It might sounding weird in your ears (well, sound..)  but I've never had a pair of high heels that fits so well. I'm actually not a fan of sparkling and sequins, but I think I keep them because of the pleasant sole. And too bad that I can only wear them at prom and celebratory occasions because they are way too chic for casual occasions.

Today I received a box from Los Angeles with lovely things in it, including these pale blue All Stars. Really happy with them, thank you aunt!    

Synchronized swimming show 2012

With a team of 7 people we set up the show, which always takes place every two years. It took us one and a half year to prepare it, which includes training, looking for sponsors and volunteers, and so on. Last weekend we were finally ready to show all the spectators what we had done in two years, and the result was absolutely fabulous. With the role of backstage coördinator I had to direct the swimmers to the right places, for example the hair, gelatin and make-up. Another task was to head for the swimmers, so that they were standing behind the curtains right on time for performing. My screenplay and the livestream helped me with it, they were my best friends that weekend, haha.  Honestly, I was really nervous because I hadn't done it before, but it went perfectly, everyone was there on time.

Maybe we did go to far. Those dreamy thoughts faded unconsciously into promises, and what if we can not realize those promises? I really want to believe in the future, I just do not know if I can

What I'm up to

Oh dear, it's been a while. I'm so busy with completing my tasks these weeks, it's been complete chaos! In life and in my mind. Well, right after the holiday I got ill. Seriously, I hate being ill, I had so much to do and it's really frustrating that your schedule is getting in a jumble when you're laying in bed for 3 days.. Luckily I'm recovered now, and the hard-working for school this week was worth it because I closed this week with good marks.

And tonight... show time! I'm really in a hurry now so I'll tell everything later on. Wish me luck!
